Hello fellow Player and welcome to Level UP - The only (and therefore the largest and greatest!) online store devoted to apparelling the Performance Upgrade Nerd and Nerdette. If you are passionate about Achieving Excellence (AKA Levelling UP) in any-sphere-of-life, then you have come to the right place. 

 

What on Earth is Level UP (レベルアップ!)?

The term Level UP owes it's origins to a Japanese-Engrish misnomer. Old-school gamers may recall the golden era of RPG's that swept across the Terrascape in the the '80s and '90s. In these pixelated worlds, the Level UP was symbolic of attaining victory by effort, skill, courage and increasing ones experience.

Some alternative definitions from Urban Dictionary:

1. To make a move in your life or career for the better.

2. When a player of a video-game has earned enough experience points to acquire a new level in a skill or skills. Often is accompanied by the ability to wield new weaponry, access new places, or begin new assignments.

At Level UP, we define Levelling UP as "To achieve excellence, or to passionately pursue the achievement of excellence in any sphere(s) of life"

Okay, so what does that mean for me/you/us?

Performance Upgrade Nerd, Achievement Geek, Development Devotee, Modification Master, Level UP Leviathan, whatever title you prefer - Level UP is committed to outfitting you with apparel that represents your areas of strength and interest.  The Level UP brand highlights your focus to achieve excellence in these areas of strength and interest. Think of it as your tribal war-paint. Your Level UP getup represents what it is that you are exceedingly passionate about. How did it all begin?

Level UP began life as a simple University project in early 2014. As a mature-age student at Macquarie University studying a Bachelor of Marketing and Media - I would often ponder "How on Earth am I supposed to remember any of this academic doctrine?". Enter Kinesthetic (or tactile) learning - Learn it by doing it. If you're a tactile learner like me (note that not all of us are), then what better way then to remember what you've learned in class by doing it? Thus came to life Level UP - the canvas to which all my University challenges would be painted.

 

Who is behind level UP?

Level UP was started up by me, Phillips Huynh. Just a dude who was named after the Avenue I as living in at the time I was born. I have a deep interest in all sorts of fun stuff like cars photography, video entertainment, manufacturing and the like.

It's currently a one-person show here, however, with time, supplication and smart and hard work, perhaps we'll bring aboard some more crew members.
